Browser Recommendations
The Learning Records Service (LRS) Organisation Portal has been designed to support as wide a variety of browser and operating systems as possible. We would always recommend upgrading your browser as far as your computer allows. Later versions of browsers often have higher levels of security and better functions.
Browsers Tested by the Learning Records Service (LRS)
The LRS has tested the LRS Organisation Portal on a wide range of browsers including:
- On Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7:
- MS Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9
- Mozilla Firefox 3.6
- Google
- Chrome 3.0 [please note there is a later version not yet tested]
On OS X 10.7:
If you are not using one of the browsers above, you should still be able to access the portal and use the pages, but your browser might not display the site as designed, nor provide you with the best user experience.
Internet Explorer 6
The Learning Records Service last year announced its plan to stop supporting Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) at the end of 2011. We have, however, revisited this in view of current usage levels, and can confirm that new LRS releases will continue to be backwards compatible with IE6 until the end of 2012.
